About us

Our Story

We started the church in 2020 and we were praying under a wooden temporary building with a few members. We started the church, me and my colleagues, two sisters and four brothers which makes seven members. We continued to preach the  gospel to nearby areas in 2020 and  increased to 14 members. We continued preaching the gospel door to door and along the road side from 2021-2022, the members increased to 26. Inspite of the challenges we faced,  by the Grace of the Lord we continued evangelizing and telling people about the love of Jesus Christ. From 2021-2023, the members increased to 40 and the period between 2021-2024, the number of members increased to 80. I shared this testimony in church and we decided to start an orphanage with the little we had. I prayed and fasted for this vision to come true. We opened an orphanage  at our church named HANDS OF JESUS ORPHANAGE HOME in Nawankompe village . We started with 10 orphans who were crippled, neglected and malnourished. We contributed and raised some money to feed them by making bricks and selling them. The need was big and is still very big as the number of children at the orphanage has increased to 63.

See my story

My desire and passion to help children stemmed from my own humble upbringing. Losing my father at a young age meant that I grew up facing life's toughest challenges and having to go without many of life's necessities including having to drop out of school. Inspite of all this, I am grateful for my mother who continued to raise me single-handedly. The vision to start an orphanage came after much prayer and fasting and I  give all the glory to God for bringing this vision to fruition.
