Pr. Nantamu Timothy
My life's heart touching story
HOW I CAME TO THE LORD
I was born in 2001 in a very humble family in Luuka District in eastern Uganda. My father died
and I remained with a single mother. When I was still a child, I faced many family
difficulties including dropping out of school.
My parents belonged to the Anglican Church of Uganda, but no one could assist me
during my childhood.
One pastor, called Bamuwamye Aron adopted me at the age of 7 years old. I became
one of his subordinates in his church .This pastor assisted me ,loved me, took care
of me and paid my school fees in primary and secondary education.
He helped me study from Primary to Advanced Level. I met Jesus in 2018 and was baptized in the same year. I completed Senior Six
in 2019. When I completed Advanced Level, I came back and met pastor
Gawene James who pastored me in his church . He liked me because I had been
well trained by Rev. Bamuwamye Aron who took care of me when I was still
young.
My Calling
I came back from pastor Gawune's Ministry and I started my own church at the
place where I was born in Nawnkompe village, Luuka
District.
As I was preaching door to door, we met some needy people. We decided to
use the little we collected in church to assist and feed these people. We organized a crusade to preach to the souls in this area. It was a three day
Crusade with a seminar. People's hearts were touched and many joined the church.
Talents and gifted.
Many scriptures in the bible teach us that before a person can be saved, he must be called by God. This is how I was called by God. God calls every person who is saved. Not only does God pardon the sinner (Rom.3:26), He also teaches us of the need and benefits of forgiveness (Mathew 6:14-15).
Vision For The Foundation
We started the church in2020 and we praying were praying under a wooden
temporary building with the few members, we started the church, me and my
colleagues, two sisters and four brothers which makes eight members. And
continue preaching gospel to the nearby areas in 2020 the increased to 14
members, we continued preaching the gospel door to door and along the road side
from 2021-2022, they increased to 26members by then the situation was very hard
by the Grace of Lord we continued Evangelizing and telling people about the love
of Jesus Christ the increased from 2021-2023 to 40members and from 2021-2024
the number increased to 80members.
So, I shared this testimony in church and we decided to start small with the little
we had, I prayed and fasted for this vision to come true.
We opened orphanage home at our church in the name HANDS OF JESUS
ORPANAGE HOME in Nawankompe village .we started with ten orphans who
owe crippled, neglected and malnourished. We and we contributed and raised some
money for feeding them by making bricks and we sell to raise money to feed the
children. But the need was big and still very big according to the number of
children we have currently at Orphanage
